2008 Honda Civic Tour Headlines Panic at the Disco

Once again, the Honda Civic Tour is presenting a fantastic line-up of rock alternative groups and a stellar customized car. The tour kicked off on April 10th in San Francisco, California and continues its 45 city itinerary into June. Featured in this line-up is Panic at the Disco with special guests Motion City Soundtrack, The Hush Sound, and Phantom Planet.

The custom painted and airbrushed 2008 Honda Civic Hybrid features an environmental theme with blue sky graphics, flowers, grass, trees, and clouds. On the hood the Panic at the Disco logo and each band member's autograph is clearly displayed. Eighteen inch Konig "AGAIN" wheels and Dunlop Direzza DZ101 tires provide a smooth and stylish drive.

To follow the band's new single, "Nine in the Afternoon," the interior offers a time machine feel with a custom-mounted clock and a gear shifter in the shape of a crystal. Burgundy leather seats also reinforce the lavish old-timey feel the band gives off with its style, fashion, and music sense.

A touch-screen navigation system with voice recognition features XM satellite radio, AM/FM radio, CD, and the ability to read digital music right from a memory card. Alpine Electronics installed two Type-R 12 inch subwoofers in the trunk as well as Type-R speakers in the back doors. A PXE-H650 System Integration Processor and PDX 4-channel amp help provide stellar sounds throughout this Civic.

Ensuring that this is a "green" tour, Panic at the Disco tapped nonprofits Reverb - which specializes in "greening" concerts - and Global Inheritance to engage audiences in fun and interactive exhibits during the tour. A substantial contribution to an as-yet unnamed environmental cause will be made on behalf of the 2008 Honda Civic Tour and Panic at the Disco at the end of the tour.

The cars of the Honda Civic Tours only seem to get better and better. Last year, with Fall Out Boy headlining the tour, the band designed a sleek black Civic Hybrid with custom graphics and an eco-friendly interior featuring hemp and vinyl seats. Eighteen inch Konig Sideways wheels and Dunlop Direzza DZ101 tires were used to finish off this car's look. The year before that The Black Eyed Peas customized multiple cars that were given away to lucky winners. A custom white Honda Civic Hybrid accompanied Maroon 5 on the first Civic Tour in 2005.
