H-Racer Model Hydrogen Car with Refueling Station

Hracer Front

Here’s a great educational gift idea for the young alternative energy enthusiast in your family. Horizon Fuel Cell Technologies’ fuel cell toy car, dubbed H-Racer, comes complete with a hydrogen refueling station and offers the perfect way to bring home now what many consider to be the future of transportation, but in miniature scale.

A solar cell generates electricity to produce hydrogen by electrolyzing water (H20), separating it into hydrogen and oxygen. The hydrogen is then transferred to the storage tank on-board the vehicle. The 6.3-inch long, 2.75-inch wide car is free to move under the power of its fuel cell system at the flip of a switch. On-board hydrogen lasts for a run of about 330 feet. The price of $100 includes the fuel cell car, electrolyzer, and solar panel, plus an instruction book. It’s available through Intergalactic Hydrogen at www.intergalactichydrogen.com.
