Prius Experiences Software Glitch

Some Toyota Prius owners are reportedly experiencing a glitch that suddenly shuts down their hybrids while driving, preceded by multiple failure warnings in the instrument cluster. According to Prius owners who have experienced the problem and discuss it in forums at Edmunds.com, Toyota dealers have reloaded the system's software in affected vehicles to remedy the problem.
