Quantum H2 Hybrids in Norway
Quantum Technologies’ hydrogen fueled hybrids took center stage at the dedication of the first hydrogen fuel station opened by Statoil ASA, near the western Norwegian port of Stavanger. The station represents the first step in a plan to establish a hydrogen highway between this port city and the country’s capital, Oslo. Quantum’s chairman Dale Rasmussen, and president and CEO Alan Niedzwiecki, were on hand along with executives from Statoil, Norsk Hydro, Miljobil, and the Norwegian government. Interest in hydrogen is notable here since Norway is the world’s third largest oil exporter following Saudi Arabia and Russia. The H2 hybrids were developed with co-funding from the South Coast Air Quality Management District in Southern California.
